Before breast lift surgery

What is the Breast Lift surgery process?

In breast lift surgeries, the sagging breast tissue is reshaped. Excess skin is removed. The nipple is brought to where it should be. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia in hospital conditions and in the operating room. Although the duration of the operation varies according to the patient, it usually takes between 2 and 3 hours. The scars after the operation become vague over time.

After Breast lift surgery?

If breast prosthesis is used during the surgery, there may be limitations in arm movements for a few days. A dressing is applied to the breast. A separate dressing is placed on the nipple. The dressing is checked 3 days later. After a week, the bandages are opened. Stitches are removed after 9 to 10 days.

The patient is put on a sports bra for about two months and massage is recommended. During this period, there may be swelling, sensation, and pain in the breast. This situation is extremely normal and possible.

The patient can return to work within 3-4 days. However, it is recommended to stay away from heavy sports for 3 months.
