Mini Gastric Bypass
WHAT IS MINI GASTRIC BYPASS?
Mini gastric bypass, also known as single anastomosis gastric bypass, is a very effective operation. This surgery is an economical surgery performed in the shortest time among bariatric surgery operations and the shortest hospital stay.
HOW IS MINI GASTRIC BYPASS APPLIED?
This surgery reduces stomach volume and also restricts absorption. It is a surgery performed with a closed method.
Large incisions are not made in the abdomen. Only 4 or 5 incisions are made and all are under 1 cm. Cameras and tools are inserted into the abdomen through these holes. A tiny gastric tube is created at the entrance of the stomach and is completely separated from the rest of the stomach. The actual stomach after the surgery is the new stomach particle turned into this small tube. The remaining part of the stomach remains in the abdomen.
