Fat injection is a procedure that can be applied not only to the face but also to various parts of the body and corrects deformations in the skin.
What are the target areas of fats which can be used for facial fat transfer?
The fat to be used for facial fat injection can be taken from all parts of the body. Usually, since there is more fat in the abdomen, this area is taken most frequently. Apart from that, fat can be taken from the waist, hips, arms, and legs.
How is a fat transfer done?
It can be performed under general and local anesthesia. Fat removed from the patient’s body is subjected to processes such as centrifugation and washing to prepare for injection. Later, this fat is transferred under the skin with a special injector.
What should be considered after the fat injection?
After the procedure, a cold compress is applied to reduce swelling. Swelling can be observed 2 days after the procedure. The face can be washed 1-2 days after the procedure.
